So I was able snag a cubicle with a window!! Moving up! August is upon us and my work continues before another short break of vacation time. Right now I'm working on Fire-3008 - Fire Inspector II, a level 5 course that really delves into the how of being an inspector and builds up to more complex building types. Complex not just in occupancy (mixed or otherwise) but with complex history, political implications or jurisdictionally complex. We're also covering the administration of a fire prevention office, how and when to make policies or procedures and dealing with Alternative Solution requests - to name some of the learning over the 15 weeks of the semester, Using the IFSTA 8th edition Fire Inspector, the Code and bit of help from the Fire Chief's Handbook, the students will get a full appreciation of the role and be as prepared as possible for when they graduate and are ready to take on the responsibility of being a community's fire prevention officer.
3 cohorts of students with 20 courses ready to be delivered starting Sept 4th by 17 fantastic professors - laissez les bon temps rouler!
